Meaning over Money
With 280+ episodes and a 5.0-star rating on Apple Podcasts, we provide concise, straight-to-the-point, short-form episodes centered around money...except it's not really about money.
In each episode, host Travis Shelton dives into cultural trends, current events, and behavioral nuances revolving around work and money. We often dive into topics such as investing, budgeting, relationships, behavioral science, careers, generosity, and much more. Are you ready to redefine the role work and money play in your life? More importantly, are you ready to be challenged toward a more meaningful life?
Most episodes are 10-20 minutes, conducted solo by host Travis Shelton, but we also bring in special guests who we believe can add value to our audience.
Listen along and share with a friend. Our followers aren’t shy about giving us feedback, so send us an e-mail or DM to ask questions, suggest topics, or challenge Travis’s perspective!

247 - Generosity: Addition By Subtraction
Generosity is one of our favorite things, but it's often misunderstood. In order for a gift to be a gift, it must offer us nothing in return.....period. Second, from a Christian perspective, giving doesn't mean we'll receive something financially in return. The idea that we'll be financially blessed through our giving is the prosperity gospel. We do become richer when we give, but richer doesn't mean money. Let's talk about it!

244 - Timing the Stock Market is a Fool's Game: Why It's Always a Good Time to Buy

In the end, they lose out on so much opportunity. In today's episode, host Travis Shelton explains why it's always a good time to buy. Instead of trying to time the market, we should take a long-term perspective and realize today will look really, really cheap......down the road.

We're trying something new. This is the first in an ongoing "on the road" series where Travis will remotely record episodes while on his various trips. In today's episode, recorded while on a family camping trip in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Travis discusses the common belief that we need money to create memories.....therefore proving that money = happiness. Our argument is that while yes, some memories cost money, all memories are created equal and money is not a prerequisite to making memories. Hope you enjoy!
