Travis established Shelton Consulting in 2019 to provide people with content, resources, and services to help them navigate their money and work journeys.

In his coaching, Travis works with a wide range of clients, including professional athletes, executives, teachers, and business owners. As host of the Meaning Over Money podcast, he provides valuable insights into cultural trends and encourages a counter-cultural approach to personal finance and careers.

Travis encourages a holistic approach to life, work, and money, and recognizes that money is not the measuring stick of success. Rather, it’s one of many tools we can utilize to support a meaningful, fulfilling, and generous life. This approach can help individuals and businesses lead more purpose-driven journeys while achieving their own definition of success.

Aside from his business, Travis is active in the Iowa community, his local church, and sits on the board of a handful of domestic and international organizations. Before starting his own company, Travis spent 15 years in the institutional real estate investment industry, where he managed billion-dollar portfolios of U.S. real estate investments for non-U.S. investors. Outside of his work, he enjoys traveling, experiencing new and unique foods, and watching NBA basketball. He resides in the Des Moines, Iowa, metro area with his wife and twin sons.
